Definitely, Don't answer the phone's..!!
To say that the staff here are rude is an understatement! The attitude towards customers is quite unbelievable if I'm honest. They clearly don't enjoy their jobs, they clearly don't enjoy dealing with the inconvenience of having their conversations intruded upon by customers. One counter is forever closed (even with massive queues!) whilst one woman is perpetually wanting to do something far more important than serve those waiting. AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! Someone needs to instigate some serious attitude realignment training with the counter staff!!
Royal Mails own website says this post office opens at 8am. I went there today at 8:45, each window had a closed sign on it and the staff just shouted were closed, open at 9am from behind the signs. Im sure it cant be fun working in such a confined space, but I can concur with the other reviews that the staff are always grumpy.
Very Rude - If you have ever watched that program with the character who only says "Computer says no" here you have a great representation of it.The staff have completely forgotten basic friendliness, let alone customer service.On a second note they don't offer the complete Royal Mail posting options i.e. Parcel Force 24hr or 48hr signed for options, these you will need to go to the sorting office near the Hospital.
I've used this place a few times and I can see why people say they're rude. The shop assistant is friendly, but the post office staff (usually seems to be one woman in particular) makes it very obvious that she doesn't want to be there. She did help me with my car tax and technically did her job, but she needs to cheer up. It's unprofessional :-( I've also noticed the shop staff talk loudly and openly about staff in other branches etc. (which, again, is very unprofessional). It's a shame because the shop itself is surprisingly big with a good range of products, and it opens nice and early, too.
