Quite a mixed bag when I was there, possibly due to all the snow the day before. Dinner was excellent, with a large group getting everything well cooked and simultaneously. Breakfast didn't go so well. What was out was good, but the coffee machine needed something or other and nobody seemed to be bothered, apart from quite a lot of guests who were getting more and more upset due to the lack of morning coffee. Also, rooms - good but drinks at the bar- expensive.
Rooms are nice and staff very good, restaurant a bit hit and miss though. We had dinner for about 10 people and some of the food was very low quality, seems like a lot is bought in cheap. They have coleslaw with a lot of the meals and it was like supermarket value range. One of us had a beetroot salad main and it was really disappointing and tasteless and not even much beetroot! Also sticky toffee pudding that was just a slice of cake really. Burgers, fish and chips etc were good but overall could be a lot better
We went for a spa weekend. It was fantastic. Treatment was amazing, I had a back treatment and a facial. Food was wonderful.Rooms spacious and clean. 115 will get you a dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day, 1hour treatment, overnight stay, access to a steam room, sauna and the swimming pool!
No a bad hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a gym, quite a good gym. Rooms are amazing and bed where clean. Prices for rooms are reasonable. The hotel is close to a shopping centre.Did not use the spa facilities but the prices looked good.
Lovely hotel with efficient, friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Our room and en suite bathroom were a good size and very clean. Handy little shopping centre 5 minutes walk away with places to eat and a Tesco. Swimming pool and changing rooms were very clean. Everything well maintained.
